I finally had to move on when a deceased character was resurrected … and I don’t mean actually in the storyline. It’s a world I just want to get lost in … and I start to, only to be pulled out every few minutes due to a drastic amount of glaring errors. Clark Kemp is clearly brilliant and a master at her craft, having woven a fun world and advanced characters. I was unable to finish it despite absolutely loving the story. It’s actually heartbreaking that the author doesn’t have enough respect for the art or her own work to produce it professionally.īook 1 had many errors, more than it should but book 2 is absolutely riddled with errors.

… which is why I wish so hard that this book was professionally produced and packaged in a way that does this story justice. Only needing to come up for air when the many typos pulled me back to reality. There’s no shortage of action, betrayal, love, heat, or danger in this installment and it’s a fast-paced read that I couldn’t get enough of. Starts off about six months after Dalia left Rat City, easily fills the reader in on what’s happened in that time and I’m sucked right back into this world. Reader Beware: this book contains major editing issues. There’s a whole desert between them and Rat City, and a whole world of ways to die before they get there. When the tree-dwellers betray Dalia to the same government she’s been running from her entire life, they put Burke and his people in danger as well. Or maybe he’s missed her too…but she’s not counting on it.

All because of who she was born to be.ĭalia has been living in exile ever since the truth came out six months ago she is a part of the government that is hunting Rat City. The Gods were just a myth until she landed on top of them.įor the first time since Dalia can remember, she’d found a home, and in a matter of seconds it was taken away from her.
